We created a Miro board to enable effective teamwork. The board includes everything from our initial idea development to low-fidelity prototypes.

    Week 1 | Grouping & Topic Discussion

After forming our group, we began discussing the selected topic. My initial idea was about a second-hand goods and service platform, inspired by XianYu. I find such a platform necessary in daily life. I often use XianYu to buy second-hand and handmade products, but it is limited and inconvenient because most sellers and services are based in China, making payment and logistics difficult for us. That is why I initially suggested this topic, as I was interested in exploring a similar market in Malaysia. To facilitate discussion with my teammates, I created a basic structure map of the idea. In addition to my idea, my teammates also proposed unique concepts, including a pet care app and a healthcare app. Below are the three idea maps for each topic.

    Week 2 |

After meeting with our instructor, Mr. Rafiz, he suggested that the pet care app was a more attractive option. We decided to proceed with this topic and began refining our app concept, including the problem statement, target audience, key propositions, and features. We collaborated and completed our first draft of background research.

In summary, our app is a one-stop platform for pet owners and those interested in adopting pets. Users can adopt pets through an AI-matching feature, similar to a dating app. After adoption, they can access various pet care functions, including vet appointment booking, health tracking, behavior training, and guidelines. Additionally, we incorporated a social platform with short-video features similar to TikTok, allowing users to share content and enhance user engagement.

    Week 3 |

After refining our information with Mr. Rafiz, we proceeded with user research through online questionnaires and interviews. The questions and responses were analyzed and compiled in our Miro board. Below is an Affinity Diagram summarizing our findings.

    Feedback |

    Week 1
    - Mr. Razif recommended that we can proceed with the Pet Adoption topic.

    Week 2
    - Adjustment were needed on the Google Form questions and interview questions.

    Week 3
Revisions were required for our "How Might We" statement. Overall, the slide content was satisfactory.

    Week 4 |
Based on the collected user research data, we created four user personas and developed a user journey map for each.

    Week 5 |
Using the user personas and journey maps, my teammates created empathy maps. I contributed by designing a card sorting survey using UX Tweak. We collected six responses and analyzed the results. I then created an architectural sitemap to illustrate the app's features and information structure. After that, I developed a user flow to simulate how users would interact with the app.

    Week 6 |
After finalizing the information, I gathered mood board references for the pet care app, focusing on warm colors to evoke a sense of care. I then worked on the presentation slide design.

    Feedback |

    Week 4
    - No feedback given.

    Week 5
The user journey map should not rely on another application for user testing.

    Week 6
    - We could proceed to wireframe sketching.

    Week 6 |
After compiling all the information, I gathered mood board references emphasizing warm colors to enhance the sense of care. I also completed the presentation slide design.

    Week 7 |
I contributed by sketching draft wireframes, compiling all information into the Task 3 presentation slides, and selecting colors, fonts, and icons as design references. Each teammate created their own wireframes.

    Feedback |

    Week 6
    - We could proceed to wireframe sketching.

    Week 7
During the presentation, Ms. Wong, Mr. Rafiz, and Mr. Shamsul noted that we did not emphasize our unique features enough. They also suggested we further explore the app's long-term potential, as users might only use it once for adoption.

    REFLECTION

I was a bit disappointed during the final presentation when the instructors mentioned that many groups had chosen the pet care app topic. However, I enjoyed the brainstorming and project development process. My teammates' collaboration allowed me to focus on my tasks effectively. I particularly enjoyed designing the presentation slides, organizing information, and sketching the app design. I hope we can work more efficiently and create an even better project in Major Project II.
