Any time based media and software using photography, vector imagery.

Design Considerations:

● Cognitive Principles – Principles of visualization

Output Expectation:
The presentation must be deliberated on, consider each assessment rubric of sorts to your final outcome:

    Sketch |

After my member done the great progress in research and decision on the storyline and the script, i take over the task of sketch as I have more experience on sketching and illustration. Thanks to my team members to believe me at this part.

Moodboard and references is the beginning of every design, so me and my teammates have found some attractive references to study the colors and illustration style.

After discussion, we decided to proceed with the artstyle of flat illustration with gradienr color style. I start my sketch drawing in Procreate, completed with 71 pieces (including transitions scene) to have a rough view on the animation.

Then, my teammates proceed to continue tracing the lines in photoshop and coloring. Below is the scenes seperation with the parts of each teammates.

    Feedback |

    Week 1
    No Feedback Given

    Week 2
Narrow down your target audience. NGOs and activists are already aware of the issue, so they may not be your primary audience. Similarly, the government prefers a more formal video style, which may not align with your relaxed approach. Instead, students and children would be a more suitable audience. Additionally, try to find information on whether Malaysia's Parliament has discussed this issue. If so, including it would strengthen your content. Take care of the video length since the timeline currently not include the scene-to-scene transition yet. Your progress is advanced keep it up! Make sure your team knows how to use After Effects properly.

    Week 3
I love the drawing sketches. Impress me a lot. it is complete. I can imagine the animation already. Who draw it Discuss with the drawing team what software to use for final drawing. Confirm Art Direction then you could start your Final Drawing. Can straightaway do what you're currently doing. Voice Over can use AI BUT (need to mention in e-portfolio).

    Week 4
No feedback given. Keep doing, good progress.

    Week 5
Your group might sperate scene by using colors from light to dark tone or using background music to create the climax part. So far looking good.

    Week 6
Your final art style looks weird at this point. Make sure the color scheme was aligned to all scenes. Check all the strokes on and off make everything looks like a theme.

    Week 7
No class today. Everyone proceeds on your own work.

    REFLECTION

I really appreciated my teammates, especially our leader, Junjie, who was highly effective in our group work. Under his leadership, we always had a clear understanding of what needed to be done, how to do it, and the deadlines we had to meet. He was excellent at guiding us, ensuring that every teammate could contribute their best work to the team.

In the group project, my main role was handling the visual design, from gathering mood board references to creating sketch drawings. I was especially surprised and honored when Mr. Shamsul praised my sketches during the feedback session. It meant a lot to me that I could contribute to the project through my drawing skills. However, I realized that providing only sketches made it challenging for my teammates working on the coloring phase to maintain a unified color scheme. This led to multiple color revisions later in the process. Next time, I plan to create a color sketch to help streamline the workflow and reduce unnecessary adjustments.
